peeling flaky paint

Once again, slow progress, other projects have been demanding my attention. This week I have started on the messy peeling paint, I tried to paint it with a little brush, but it just was not convincing. Have now resorted to a small pallet knife. This seems to work, though I don’t want to so much mould the 3D effect, as I prefer a painted illusional photographic look with thin paint. I am not a fan of impasto.
