Living in the suburbs

A few years back I photographed in the new subdivisions around Wellington basically just to see what was there, I’m sure it must have some reflection of our society. I  put them in a gallery here; New Suburbia. I’m now thinking they could well be a subject for paintings, so here goes. This first image is one that I would not have seen as a keeper and it does not appear in the gallery because of the car, but as a painting the car is no problem.

A house in the suburbs

I first have made a colour composition in photoshop, then projected the image onto a canvas and using a soft pencil I have made a drawing onto a 700 x 600 canvas.

projecting a colour composition that I made in photoshop, sans car.

I hoping this is what the painting will look like;

a composition from photoshop which may be the direction for a painting.
