25 Dec Surf’s up, there is a wave coming
There is a wave coming, it is on the horizon, it is a wave of very good news and it will sweep through the churches. It is not about us, or any thing we do, it is a wave of the good news of our Father’s great grace, it is the very good news of the gift of His Son. The wave will come through and wash away all religious works of the flesh, a wave to ride with great joy. There is no bad news attached, as soon as we add anything then it is not good news anymore. When some religious folks tried to attach a little bad news, i.e. fasting etc, Jesus said The bridegroom is here “don’t put the new wine into old wine skins”, (read don’t put good news of grace into old bad news of law and rules). As an aside, if you want to fast, best to do it in secret, I guess you have your own reasons. This good news completely removes all that is wrong with us. News that completely changes our destiny. Changes our very nature, and makes us new again on the inside. There is no strings attached, if there was it would not be good news anymore. There is no programs of holiness in ten steps, no self improvement programs. The answer to all our lack is here now, all we are asked to do is believe and accept this most gracious news, that God, visited us 2000 years ago and took away all our sin, and gave us all His goodness. Jesus paid the price, we get the gift of His grace totally free of charge. We once belonged to the spirit of this world under the dominion of that old snake who is a total deceiver. The good news we now belong to Him who is grace personified.
Merry Christmas all, may you be totally blessed under His Grace.
P. S. the wave analogy came to me this morning while I waited on the Lord. So feel free to judge, I believe it was Him talking to me.
Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”Luke 2:8-11
Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.
