The entrance to 170 has been my focus this week, and it still is not finished. This style of painting with acrylic requires several coats before it begins to look finished. I paint thinly as I dislike ridges of paint, especially if it has been painted over. I don’t mind brush strokes being visible, but I don’t want them to be the focus of the work. It is the overall image that is important to me. I use small brushes. The large brushes I have are from my former expressionistic days and now used to clean out pots of used paint. I seem to be back in a routine again, so progress should be more rapid from now on.
