Modest Dwelling

This slightly odd house is on the periphery of a small town in the Wairarapa district North of Wellington. I am guessing it was once a store or butchers shop. Here someone is making it their home. It’s nice to have a big designed house, but it is okay to make use of some left over unwanted building, have a roof over your head, be warm and a book to read, and life is also good. Maybe I was thinking these thoughts back in 11th February 2013 when I took this photo at 10:15am. The painting was completed 14th August 2015.
